Sine Die at NITJSR

National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur,the name itself signifies the importance of this college in the national and international arena.But these days its position is seriously questionable. Students of NIT JSR have always been bringing national and international laurels to this college,but their hard earned achievements are not even acknowledged.

Today students are facing a great deal of hardships like intrusion of local people inside the campus (even in the student mess),lack of lab facilities,no student canteen,lack of hostels,no boundary walls of the campus, the list goes on and on.......

 BUT THE STORY DOESNT ENDS HERE***********

Within last twenty days or so, incidents of students getting robbed by the locals have taken place around four to five times.Besides being robbed students were beaten badly. A recent addition to this is the incident which occurred on 12^th of September,A student of 2nd yr was looted by locals and  received a severe blow right on the skull with a rod.The students of 2^nd, 3rd and 4^th year together  staged a protest to show their disapproval. The director, then called the police and got the police to lathicharge the students . Not only on the road, but the police also followed them to their hostels and brutally hit the students,Besides this inhumane act, the director declared a sine die in the college. Students were forcefully thrown out of their hostels, and our director was present with a force of more than 100 policemen and riot control policemen to ensure that students were thrown out as soon as possible.. This sine die is badly affecting the placement of the 4^th year students.

Now, this was what happened recently, but there are a lot of topics toward which the attention of the concerned authorities  is to be drawn.

NIT Jamshedpur has one of the worst infrastructures when compared to other NITs. Labs are obsolete and most of the equipment doesn't works.Hostels are are inadequate in numbers.Various teams of college who have brought name and fame to our college are not even acknowledged properly.The funds allotted for the students welfare and development of college are misused.these are serious allegations ,but everything said is true.One can’t even get water during the college hours anywhere near the class. Leave classroom, the hostels too are quite unhygienic. The quality of food which is provided to us is of quite poor quality. Not even a penny from the fund that the college gets is used for the development of the college.
